Zilla Watch

Hi there! This year I have set myself a goal of watching ever single Godzilla movie released, as of the time of this post (January 2025). Initially, I wanted to just watch the movies. In fact, I have already watched the first movie, Godzilla (1954).

That was where the trouble started. As I watched the movie, I started to have thoughts about it. Thoughts about the quality of the film, about how I felt about it, and questions about how this film would hold up when compared to the rest of the franchise. I decided that it would be fun to write my thoughts down. If nothing else it would be a nice way to track how I feel about each movie and the franchise as a whole.

So that is why I am here. I’m aiming to write down my thoughts about each movie as I watch it. Each movie, in order of release. Hopefully, I can get to it by the end of 2025, but we’ll see.

This website is primarily for me and an outlet to get my thoughts out. After all, my spouse can only handle so many hours of me yelling about Godzilla. So this is as much to help me as it is to save them.
